Creating a Canvas for London’s Culture
Big Smoke Festival is one of London's most anticipated cultural events, a two-day celebration of grime, rap and electronic music at Crystal Palace Bowl, curated by Skepta and built around the music, energy and communities that continue to shape the city's identity.
For the 2025 edition, we developed the festival's full illustration-led visual identity, a detailed, hand-crafted artwork rooted in South London's streets, culture and character. Rather than a conventional festival poster, the brief was to create something that felt like a genuine piece of London, layered with references, alive with the energy of the city, and worthy of the artists and communities it was representing.
The artwork ran across the full promotional campaign for a lineup featuring Skepta, Fred Again, Central Cee and more.
Created in collaboration with Guy Pittard.
