under armour problem cards
I was commissioned to design three versions of interactive ‘Problem’ cards for Under Armour’s Are You a Problem? campaign, developed in partnership with King’s College London and agency Uncommon. The campaign gave fans the chance to discover which of UA’s disruptive athletes they most resembled through a live psychological test.
Working within the established design direction, I created a series of card systems that balanced brand consistency with individuality. Version one used photography of the athletes themselves, enhanced with subtle effects and character-driven details to bring their on-pitch personas to life. Version two introduced a gamified aesthetic with a bolder, more digital edge, while version three was designed to integrate live fan imagery captured during the event.
Each version reflected the campaign’s core themes of disruption, personality, and psychological intensity, while staying true to Uncommon’s minimal and uncompromising visual language. The result was a flexible suite of assets built for both live event use and social sharing.
